Technical considerations prevent live streaming of our concerts. However, they have all been recorded using state of the art digital video and audio equipment. Thanks to the wizardry of Wynn Yang at First Wave Recording Studios here in Hampton Roads, all of our concerts have been edited and are ready for viewing.
If you were unable to attend the live performances and are enjoying the videos, please consider making a donation in any amount. Just $5 or $10 will help. Your generosity will enable us to continue bringing the finest music and musicians to Isle of Wight County, Virginia.
Mark came to our home, performed tonal finishing on our digital unit orchestra and then inaugurated our concert series with an incredible program. We are so happy to be able to share it now. Because Mark's "body mic" was inoperative that day, the concert has been rendered as a series of individual videos.
A TECHNICAL ISSUE WITH MARK'S VIDEO HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AND WE ARE WORKING TO RESOLVE IT. UNTIL THEN, WE OFFER THE AUDIO RECORDING OF MARK'S OPENER...
Alex gave the performance of his life in June; playing and discussing the incredible wealth of music from between the World Wars.
Tedde entertained an enthusiastic audience of 53 guests (a record for the Foundation in its first year!). Even after two encores they did not wish to let him go.
The Quartet and Stephen were nothing short of electrifying in October. Their interpretations of Bruch, Debussy and Brahms are heartfelt and masterfully executed.
The Locrian Consort showered the audience with the joy and wonder of Christmas, expressed through Medieval and Renaissance music.
Once again, Alex played masterfully and thrilled his audience.
Tim presented a thoughtful program of accessible music and considered commentary about the unit orchestra.
Wren Masters are a local group with a broad influence. Their mastery of both music and instruments is most impressive. They filled our music room with delightfully sonorous tones.
The first time we met Scott was when he arrived at our home two days before his concert. While he practiced and set pistons, we got to know him and he, us. It was a singular joy for us. He gave an exceptional performance to a very enthusiastic audience. It is with great sorrow that we must report Scott's passing from this life only 10 days later. This concert highlights his engaging personality and exceptional talent at the console.
