Tedde Gibson is a pianist and classical, Hammond, and theatre organist. He is also a composer, arranger, and silent film scorer. Born in Tacoma, WA, he began organ study at age 16 with the late American Guild of Organists president Dr. Edward Hansen of the University of Puget Sound. Tedde later studied classical organ improvisation with David Dahl, professor emeritus of Pacific Lutheran University. Tedde studied theatre organ arranging with Jonas Nordwall of Portland, OR. He was a regular organist at Tacoma Pizza and Pipes from 1995 until the restaurant’s demise in 1999. Tedde was an organist at Tacoma First Assembly of God/Life Center. Upon moving to Seattle in 1996, he studied with Dr. Carol Terry and Dr. J. Melvin Butler at the University of Washington. He was then organist at First AME Church Seattle. Tedde moved to the Washington, DC metro area in 2003 and studied pipe organ with Dr. Mickey Thomas Terry. While attending Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD, he studied with former AGO president Dr. John Walker. He is Director of Fine Arts at Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries in Baltimore, MD, and Artist in Residence at Capitol Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washington, DC. Tedde is an active recitalist and workshop clinician, performing on theatre and church organs across the country, and has recently accompanied “Sex and the City” alum Mario Cantone in the PBS production of “Wicked in Concert,” broadcast nationally. Tedde became a director for the American Theatre Organ Society in 1997, Vice Chairman of the Board in 1998, and Chairman in 2021.
Alex is a pre-eminent 1920s/30s style performing/recording rhythm (novelty) pianist. He and his wife, Sara, own over 50,000 individual sheet music titles from between the world wars. He served as president of the Northern Virginia Ragtime Society for many years but has left the area for Richmond since retiring from his "day job" as a librarian for the Department of Defense. Alex and Sara, along with their four cats, are enjoying life in a lovely Tudor Revival residence on the northside of town. Just in case you were wondering, he is a pupil of a pupil of a pupil of a pupil of Franz Liszt. Yikes! Alex is looking forward to help further the mission of the Foundation.
In 1978, Al applied for a direct commission through the Navy’s highly competitive LDO (Limited Duty Officer program. He was commissioned in 1979 and transferred to Virginia Beach where he remained for 10 years and retired in 1989. While in Virginia Beach, he began his association with Rodgers working for Parker Piano and Organ. Upon retirement, he was offered a position with R. A. Daffer Church Organs, Inc. and in 1996 was made a partner in the firm. Al’s career with Rodgers and Ruffatti pipe organs has presented him opportunities to work with the finest concert organists from both the classical and theatre organ circles. These artists included talents such as Virgil Fox, Ted Alan Worth, Felix Hell, Cameron Carpenter, Keith Chapman, Fred Swann, Joyce Jones, Richard Purvis and John Weaver as well as Lyn Larsen, Gaylord Carter, Jonas Nordwall, and Ethel Smith. Al’s extensive career has earned him great respect among his peers, and he is often sought out for advice and training by other Rodgers representatives. Al and his wife, Sharon, reside in Lake Gaston, North Carolina. They have two grown children and three grandchildren. Al is active in a number of AGO chapters and is sub dean of the Central North Carolina Chapter and Vice President of the Old Dominion Theater Organ Society.
Michael Sansonia enjoyed a long and varied career as a professional musician. His Madrigal Group performed at a Hollywood premiere, and his Country Band toured Africa. He’s been a Musical Director and accompanying musician for artists ranging from Screamin’ Jay Hawkins to MA$E, from Maria Muldaur to Shawn Colvin, from Richard Gere to Peter Dinklage. He’s conducted at Avery Fischer Hall and The Blue Note. Numerous Fortune 500 Companies hired him as a writer/performer. He’s also done forensic audio enhancement for the US DOJ. In 2015, Mister Sansonia said goodbye to the life of a full time musician, and began a new career as a full time school teacher. He is honored to be on the board of the Graif Foundation.
Mr. Stowe is a native of Belmont, North Carolina where he took up the trombone at age 12. Having retired from a career as an aerospace engineer, he now manages MurSto Productions, an entertainment production agency in Smithfield, Virginia. His musical interests span the centuries as he is proficient on period instruments of the renaissance as well as modern winds. Performing on his rare contrabass trombone, he performed with the National Trombone Choir of America on their European and South Pacific Concert Tours. Locally he has been heard with numerous ensembles including; the Second Ending Brass, the Locrian Early Music Consort, The Hotel Paradise Roof Garden Orchestra, The United State Air Force Band and various show bands at Busch Gardens. From 1992 through 2004 he was a member of the Elderhostel faculty of Old Dominion University and Virginia Commonwealth University where he made presentations on musical topics. He has also been a featured speaker at Washington’s Folger Shakespeare Library. Currently he serves on the Isle of Wight Arts League as Executive Director of the Sundays at Four chamber music series.
Rozanne is a retired bankruptcy/creditors’ rights attorney from Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. A graduate of New York University and New York Law School, Rozanne studied at the Mannes College of Music and with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Ellen Taafe Zwilich. For seven years she accompanied the renowned Irish entertainer Carmel Quinn locally and on the road. She wrote one and directed five of the Celebration of Lawyers in the Arts shows at NJPAC-Newark (2005-2013), including four Broadway book musical productions, and has musically directed and accompanied over 50 main stage musical theater productions, plus vocal and instrumental concerts, cabarets, piano and organ recitals, etc. She has been Organist and Director of Music at the Saddle River Reformed Church since 2002.
